July of 2019: $200,000.00 settlement with hospital and physician for negligent treatment of elderly client with dementia;

We were retained by the family of an elderly woman with dementia who passed away after being admitted to a local hospital with dehydration and a UTI. We alleged that the nurse practitioner and physician who were caring for her ignored critical lab results which indicated the patient was not receiving adequate hydration while in the care of the defendants. As a result, the patient passed away from worsening of her dehydration and UTI, resulting in sepsis and death. We were able to provide closure and a measure of justice to the decedent’s adult children.
